LOUVRE ABU DHABI DOME CLADDING

Fabrication and delivery of custom aluminium components for the multi-layered dome of the Louvre Abu Dhabi—one of the most celebrated architectural structures in the world.

Working in collaboration with international consultants and design partners, Emesh contributed to the fabrication of precision-engineered star elements forming part of the dome’s outer patterned skin. These "stars", nearly 8,750 in total, were parametrically designed to generate the dome’s iconic perforated envelope, filtering light while preserving interior climate control and protecting priceless artworks.

Executed within extremely tight geometric tolerances, the fabricated elements were part of the eight aluminium and steel layers that rest on a steel superstructure spanning 180 meters. The dome’s complexity demanded exceptional material discipline, alignment accuracy, and finish integrity.

Emesh’s involvement in this landmark project stands as a testament to our ability to fabricate for architectural complexity and contribute meaningfully to cultural legacy.
